Branemark Protocol Modified
It was decided to extract any
remaining teeth, and place 5 OsseoMate implants between mental
holes, Branemark Protocol modified.
Central-implant placement, at low revolutions.
Here we can see the 5 implants placed with
their correspondent hex protective screws (healing cylinders).
Note that the smooth and highly polished implant collar protrudes
1 mm from the cortical ridge.
We have used the semi-submerged surgical procedure, thus providing
biologic width, which will favor gingival adaptation after the
first surgery, preventing bone resorption of the ridge.
After two months, we can see optimal
gingival health. We have succeeded with the gingiva attached
to the implant collar. This attached gingiva forecasts successful
long-term behavior of implants.
